Since childhood ...
Since childhood and my youth, I was always intrigued by the
expression of emotions and thoughts through art. However, my
other professional vocation, journalism, absorbed many
years, decades, of my adult life. I was the correspondent
for the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, among other
English language publications. I left active journalism to
dedicate myself wholly to painting.
Though I was born in Germany, my parents were American, and my grandparents Norwegian. I grew up between Oslo, Norway, Washington D.C. and Boston. I studied Literature and Psychology in Kalamazoo College (Michigan). My adult life has been almost entirely in Spain.
